Why there is no consent banner
Because there is nothing for you to consent to. The cookies here are strictly necessary for the site to work — without them you cannot sign in and you cannot buy. The law does not require consent for those, and a banner asking permission for something that needs no permission is just friction.
If we ever add analytics or advertising, a real banner will appear and nothing will load before you have decided.
The cookies we set
- maka_customer — keeps you signed in to your account. Lasts 60 days. It is
httpOnly, meaning no script on the page can read it. - maka_admin — the same, for staff signing in to the admin panel. Lasts 14 days.
Both contain nothing but a random session token. No name, no email, nothing about you.
The basket
Your basket is kept in your browser's localStorage under the key maka.cart.v1. It is not a cookie and it is never sent to our server until you place an order. It stays on your device.
What is not here
No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no pixels, no third-party trackers. This is checkable: the site loads no scripts from any other domain.
How to clear them
You can clear them from your browser settings at any time. If you do, you will simply need to sign in again and your basket will be empty.
